stuck on father frederick (chapter 5)

i can't seem to move further and think the game is broken. Father Frederick is supposed to check in the chronicles and give information to Samuel. He says: "not yet, you have to be patient, son". I walk out, walk around, visit locations (pub, morgue, castle), try again and again probably about 10-15 times. It doesn't work, the father still says the same and the game does not progress. Please help.

I had the same problem. Its been a while thou since I played this game. I would suggest to talk to every NPC. If I remember correctly that was the solution for me. Good luck.

Father Frederick finally said: "You are coming in exactly the right time!". i don't know what did it. Managed to get to the end of the game.

Did you ever figure this out? I’m having the same problem now. I think it may be because i went to talk to Harry about the weather and had a look at all the graves at the rear end of the cemetery before I went to talk to father Frederick. So just walking around the locations isn’t wasting enough time. Need help!

Have you tried going to another location and then coming back to the church? Father Frederick will say no to you the first time, but if you go back and forth a second time you should be able to continue

I have went from the church to willow creek then Herman’s house then black mirror about 6 times over and over, doing it forwards and backwards, I tried skipping the church and just going around the 3 locations a bunch of times before going to talk to father Frederick and he keeps saying the same thing every time. I would hate to have to start from my last save point which is the old mine when I’m so close to the end of the game😩😭

I had the same problem. I went to the back of the cemetery and clicked on each highligthed tomb to no avail. It's only when I read the sign speaking of the building date of the church at the entrance that the discussion unlocked. My guess is you need to go everywhere and search for unread entries. Eventually, the discussion will unlock.

You have to click everything! I was stuck for hours until I went back to Robert's study and randomly clicked on the roman numeral year above the safe acknowledging it was year before the creation of the castle.
