Stuck at Chapter 2, won't let me enter the church!!

I think I've met all prerequisites: put the letter together until Samuel speaks it out loud, got the diamond from the jacket I found in Hermann's trash bin and combined it with the strange object. Just to be sure I went to all the people in the game to see if they had nothing else to say. What am I missing??? The church is still locked!

If you've got the photos developed by Docter Hermann and you've gotten the key from Mark, then you should be ready.

Are you trying to enter the Church from the main doors or by the side doors? The main doors only open for Mass. There is a side door halfway between the main doors and where the gravedigger was. I think pressing the TAB key shows exits from the area you are in.

Thank you very much for your reply. I think my save game was corrupt somehow, but I was able to manage to download a save file from someone else that let's you continue right after you enter the church. Luckily I could finish the game this way.

I got in, the problem is that the game won't let me get past the doctor telling what the words on the statues in the masoleum mean. So I have wondered around doing anything to pass time, and yet he still won't tell me! I can't continue in the game if I can't get him to tell me. Don't know what else to do! Frustraiting!

I might have figured it out. You have to combine the diamond with the strange Object and then AGAIN combine it with the shaped thing form - then reload again to the church - and THEN the door should've have opened.

Kinda weird mechanic if you ask me.

make sure you do photo first ,look at them in diary then combine the objects then go to church
