Complete VS Original 3?
I'm just wondering how The Complete Journey actually works because when I bought it I thought it would give me all 3 games the way other packs on Steam function. However it seems this is different ...but how?

Is the Complete Pack all 3 games merged into one continuously flowing story along with perhaps a tweak or two?
Is there anything I lose VS the original 3 games? Or is there any reason why I might want to get the original 3 games instead of the Complete Journey (or rather why I might have wanted to get the original 3 seeing as I already have this one so it would be kinda pointless now)?

[note: i do not yet have the complete journey version. but i have done a fair amount of research on it and i own the 3 games apart.]

What you bought was in fact all 3 games merged into one.
From my understanding there is very little of the main game changed.
They blurred the endings of the game together to make them 1.
Further they added a few cross game things like a map of quests.
its a funny thing that updates every time you get diverted from your goal or when a new goal comes up

Another great thing this adds is a comentary mode you can play.
lastly there is some bonuses stuff in the game folder (soundtrack, art book, ect)

But nothing is lost? Because a Director's Cut type release isn't always just a consolodation of DLC (I know this game has none, but it's a similar idea) into the game and a couple of improvements. Sometimes they look at things and decide that something didn't quite fit and then they plain cut it out and they don't always add something new to compensate. There are for instance a lot of complaints about the Director's Cut of Deus Ex - Human Revolution.

A bit late to ask all this as I already have The Complete Journey but I now also want to get the saga for my sister and I'm just wondering whether I really made the best choice or whether there's any reason why I might want to get her the original 3 games instead.

and as far as i know nothing is removed
the only added benfite to having them seprite is that they are seprite it can be a little overwelming for some to have such a big game in one.
Its like combing starwars ep 4,5,6 into one movie it makes for a great movie and cool featuer but somtimes you just want to skip to your favorite ep and watch/play that

He means buying them separately is cheaper than the 3 merged into one

three separately = 15.77
three merged = 15.99

if you add up the none sale prices it is cheaper to by the complete edtion.
you do know that somtimes sales make it cheaper to buy name brand over store brand even thogh store brand is normaly cheaper. this does not mean that the store brand has to match the sale
