Postal Cat bugs (spoilers)

I need to pick up the postal replacement cats to finish driving the radio operator over the edge so I can steal his headphones, but the game only lets me look at them. I've tried various fixes, but nothing's worked. It's possible I'm just an idiot. Any help would be appreciated

Nah, turns out I was just being an idiot and clicking on the wrong cats. Thank you, though!

I'm stuck with this too am I trying to take the wrong cat?

I already tried deleting:
profile0.dat
profile1.dat
and then restarting the game, but I still can't take it with me.

So, if you're having exactly the same problem I was, don't try to take the cats you used to alter the mail. By the postbot's desk, there's a VERY well hidden panel that you need to click to open, and there are spare cats in there.
