Lockpicking

I just started with the lockpick and missed the instructions on how to do it. My lockpick only goes all the way left or right. There is no in between. I need some assistance.

move slowly left to right and then right to left and wait for the sound of a clicking noise and then you will know the right spot

It's a new glitch with the latest update. I had it happen on a level for the first time yesterday.

Like I say friend, go slowly, see if you mouse sensitivity is up too high turn it down, if not then start left to right and back again and if not exit and enter the mini game again it resets it

I'm having the same problem. It will stay pegged left or right when in the mini-game no amount of trying to adjust your speed in doing the action will produce a different result in getting it to budge. EDIT: To better explain before pressing the left mouse to zoom in and execute the action you can get it to pop left or right but once you left mouse to execute the action it stays pegged in place and will not move at all no matter what you do.

I confirm, it's a bug guys. It happens sometimes and sometimes it's working like it should.

It's completely random. I've had it happen twice since update.

For me the solution was to guide the handle on the very tip of the levering thingy, then I had proper control. The default "grabs" it very close to the lock, which produces these insane speeds that look to just flip to the left or right with no in between.

Yeah it's something I've been able to mostly avoid since it happened once.

It has been fixed. Either with a restart, or and update. Not sure. It works fine now.

There hasn't been an update since that last one that created the issue. It's random, doesn't happen all the time or to a certain lock. I've had it happen on door and register both.
