What do the red dots next to certain contracts denote?

It means the contract will end soon. The contracts have a short life span before disappearing. Like the last day or one day left. Seem goes for scrap deals. But they might be longer if you sleep to the next day

If that's true then why have a had it next to contracts that end in 3 to 4 days?

Ok, my bad, no idea or they are higher paying contracts from the companies you unlock
