That being said, once one has a high enough reputation, one CAN purchase a robot which will move the loaded Pallets from the Machine Shop to the Storage area. This DOES require first the purchase of Stage 1 Land Upgrade AND Stage 1 of the Storage Upgrade, but that should be easy enough to achieve by the time one reaches (I believe it's) Reputation 6 or Reputation 8...
I'm rep 15. I have 2 bots already. If the argument is that there wouldn't be anything else to do then why add junk collectors? Everyone is going to have a different aspect of the game they find appealing. I personally like collecting the junk, and would prefer not having to mindlessly grab pallets and run around the place grabbing all the resources the machines flung everywhere.
It makes no sense to automate everything besides the biggest aspect of the game. There's no gameplay loop and I've already nearly unlocked everything in less than 10 hours and I'm bored to tears. I'd have a much better time being able to automate production so I can do multiple lines to produce every single resource simultaneously.
