Crypto mining?

Seen a few reviews saying this game is just for crypto mining on my PC. I don't really want that, but it did look worth trying. Is this info false or what's the deal?

I haven't played this game yet, so I have yet to see this for myself. But what they mean by "mining" is that your PC's fan gets cranked up to the max when you play this.

Case in point, Escape The Backrooms does this to my PC when I play the game with the graphic settings set to ULTRA.

Other than that, I doubt there is mining to your PC, rather that your PC's fan might be put into high gear.

ah so, probably just a case of crying wolf for the sake of it i guess. i couldn't find anything bad about it via google searches either but ya never know nowadays.

i really wanna try this game but 1 idk if my pc will run it well and 2 heard its for mining just want an answer to that more bc i dont want that on my pc

Played through it and it's not a crypto miner. Uses a decent bit of CPU as well and probably RAM too.

Just a game with bad optimization

As last two answers said, just unoptimized. It runs at 96fps on ultra until there is skybox in my field of view, then it drops to 47 and the fan wants to fly out of the case :D
