Definitely needs some work controls-wise, but visually incredible
There's a lot about the demo to love... the whole "building a base while trying to keep specific hero characters alive" thing hits a great spot for me, and I've never seen anything like it before.

That said, it was also incredibly frustrating. Not having pause on the spacebar is pretty obnoxious, as clicking pause when you need to can be a pain in the heat of the moment. The fact that you can't make decisions while paused--and ESPECIALLY that you can't even go into the game's options menu without unpausing--really runs against the type of game this is. I'm not entirely sure why there's a timer at all, given the absolutely enormous amount of information you're trying to process from turn to turn.

I also found a lot of the controls confusing or potentially just broken (it's a demo, to be expected), but there were moments where the demo was telling me to do something and the function for it just... wouldn't do anything, specifically scanning for petroleum, which I had to just stumble on by luck since the radar wouldn't allow me to activate it.

I have no doubt this is going to be really, really good once all of this is figured out, because for the art alone I would pick it up.

the art is...

10/10 mega gritty grimdark on steroids. I always wanted a lovecraftian strategy survival inverse frostpunk, stuff is super niche!

Pause and timing needs a widdle more work tho
Just played the demo, and I agree the art and atmosphere is amazing. The controls and menus are a bit tough, I would actually love to play this with a controller. I think the grid system would work well with this, along with maybe a pop up action selection menus like frostpunk. Really keen for the full release!
