Wheel support?
Anyone tried this with a g27? Does it work/how does it feel?

Not the type of game I'd use my G27 for anyway (I use it for iRacing/Rfactor2/Assetto)
But I did try it out for both you guys, note this is how it ended up on my system I can't confirm if you will receive the same outcome.
Tried first time without a profile setup in Logitech Profiler (My global is 900 Degree rotation other than that standard settings) The game picked the G27 up as an input device, but the on screen selection acted as if I was holding the down button, realised it was pedal related.
I then went to the Logitech profiler and set to "report pedals as combined" as I've had to do this in the past with older games, this time the error of prsssing down didnt appear but when I went to set keys it registered that the clutch pedal was pressed constantly.

TLDR: It saw my G27 but wouldn't let me play with it.

Thanks for info, seems it is reversing your pedal info, I'm not familiar with the logitech profiler so I don't know if you can reverse the input there or not, like the option in assetto you can check a box to do this, maybe try some ini edits ? again thanks.

Yeah, it would seem it's something along those lines since the first issue dissapeared when changing the pedals to combined, There is the option to change axis polarity in the Logitech profiler, maybe that will resolve the issue, I'll be honest I kind of gave up after I tried the above, I did quickly check online to see if there were any mentions of ini fixes or similar but found little to nothing.
If I get bored tomorrow I'll try and invert the pedals with that setting, I'll report back here with anything useful. I'm still not convinced its the type of game that would benefit from the G27. It is what it is, basically an arcade racer designed mainly for pad users.

It supports the G27.... on Playstation 2.

I haven't tried PC but according to killtothis, I'm not sure if I'd like to waste my time.
Still a fun game though.

Thought about it some more, looks like the overwhelming problem is the clutch pedal, there's no where in the Logitech profiler to change the axis polarity of the clutch (you can do brake/accelerator which you'd need to put as combined/1 axis) It's weird though because looking through the SRS menus for controls you can set a key to function as a "clutch" now think back the only mainstream wheels (ignoring Fanatec/Thrustmaster T500RS because they were well after the games release) would have been the G25 (which for all intents and purpose is a G27 with a different shifter which is wired slightly different)

EDIT: I don't even want to play this with my G27, it's the fact that I can't thats irritating.

Thanks for the replies, it actually kinda works but was clearly not built for wheels.

The game has one of those annoying unchangeable built in deadzones so in order to make it playable you have to set rotation under 200 degrees but it has no feedback and if you enable vibration you lose the tension in the wheel. Also like you've already mentioned report combined peddles has to be checked aswell or the menu spaz's out. But honestly it doesn't play well with the wheel anyway so none of this really matters.

It's a shame that so few street racers cater to wheel users, using a pad for racers when there's a perfectly good wheel staring at me in the corner has me going back to track racers after an hour of boredom.

I think the closest you'll get to a Street racer that works reasonably well with the G27 would be NFS Shift 2, although it's track based it kind of feels more in the realms of a street racer due to its simcade handling/

I've just published a topic to explain how to make any wheel working in the game. Check my post.

Thanks for your efforts but without FFB it's kinda pointless imo and with both Horizon 4-5 and Test Drive on the way, my Street Racing with a wheel fix is sated.

Yes it's understunsable. Considering the usual simplified FFB in arcade racong games of that time, I assume not a lot is missing when using just the wheel resistance. If ypuvhave already FH4 and 5, for sure you've got already a lot to do. I don't havr that much time to dedicate to openworlds, but SRS is a shorter game with an original them that we don't get in other games. Sure, for street racing we have U2, but it doesn't include police chases and day time. And I must state that, also I really like U2 1nd its world, in the first races of SRS, the environments are more varied. I'm waiting for the new TDU too, Kylotonn's physics for their rally games are interested and, although TDU won't be a sim, should bring something really interesting on the table of the open world racing games. If they manage to polish their game, which is a general issue with their games, unfixed bugs and glitches are almost a trademark.
