If you have Steam Cloud enabled, then you shouldn't have to restart over. I just reinstalled the game at level 35. However, it is *highly* recommended that if you decide to reinstall the game, that you also copy your save file before reinstalling because the cloud does mess up at times.
Having said that, though, I just reinstalled the game because I am having the same issues. Reinstalling the game did not resolve the issue for me. I still can only design on the one shirt. Well, really, just place a sticker or text. You can't even change the color of the shirt, much less change to one of the other items.
Just checking, if this didnt work for you- when yo change clothing type/pattern, are you hitting the "reset" button?
Its a bit of a dumb way of doing it, because I'd assume that reset just means restart, but if you want to change what you're designing, you need to select the clothing item and then hit "reset".
It's... a "choice" to do it this way, that's for sure, i think the devs should change this, or make it more obvious what to do...
Ahh! No, I've not been hitting the reset button. As you mentioned, I assumed that it was there to start over. I will certainly give it a try. Thank you *so* much for the info!
I am enjoying this game, but it really needs some more instructions with it. I had to leave the game to go and search to find out how to compete online orders. It's not difficult, of course, but a little direction within the game would be nice. And, this certainly applies to designing clothes.
Anyway, thank you again. I will give it try when I pull up the game later on today.
Not a problem!! And I agree, there are some things that DEFINITELY need a bit of guidance as they are super unclear! The customisation and online orders being among them.
And the clothing pass store! Why have my options not changed in my 101 days and 63 levels of playing ^^;; i need that thing actually explained lol.
Depending on your level and what you have unlocked, you *can* have multiple designs. The game is just set up in a really confusing manner (to me, at least) especially without any sort of tutorial to explain things. I'm going to try and tell you step by step what to do, but be forewarned. I have some brain fog due to a health issue and I haven't done this is a bit, so I may be a bit off or forget something. However, I think that you will be able to figure it out at the end. <Fingers crossed!>
So, when you go to design something, the game automatically picks a male and a shirt. Let's say that is your first design. You design it and put it into the store. You will not be able to change the design on that particular item until you have none left in the store or warehouse. To make a new design (let's say a hat for a female), you'll have to unlock the next design spot. Once you do that, it will again automatically be the man a shirt as your options. To change that, click on the female figure and then hit "reset." Then, click on the hat. You have have to hit reset again, although I don't remember for sure offhand at the moment. Hitting that reset button is what allows you to change the item of clothing that you want to design as well as whether it is for a man or woman. The whole thing isn't difficult to do. It's just a bit confusing until you've done it a couple of times.
The number of different items that you can put up for sale that you've designed will be determined by how many slots you've unlocked.
I hope that made some sense. I'm tired at the moment and the brain fog is giving me a run for my money tonight, so I make no promises that the instructions were clear. You can always play around with the design options, too, so that you can get the hang of it.
I'm a content creator on YouTube and I will have my video out tomorrow on designing my first clothes if you care to watch and see all of my mistakes lol. Or maybe you can give me more pointers?? Thanks again.
