Banana

Why do people say it’s a scam?
I DONT WANT TO START A WAR, I JUST WANT AN ANSWER. Every discussion says people are getting scammed, however they are earning money at no cost. I mean the dev is genius cause it earns him tons of money, but people are just selling bananas for a cent at a time. There’s nothing to lose. If people are happy with earning a cent every 3 hours, why is it a scam?

yes, but i also heard (just heard mind you, not sure if true) that the other devs also privated their inventory.
Wouldn't be surprised if he got fired simply because he got caught.

Well I checked (real quick) 2 of them, both have open inventories, one of them (Sky) has 5 pages of bananas, a few of them red that don't drop anymore.
The other guy (not sure if he's an actual dev though) has 41 inventory pages of them
so clearly they are up to something funky.

Already read in one of their news posts that they will add an ability to delete bananas, that they most likely will use for market/price manipulation by reducing the supply, and then they can offload their entire stock on the market to earn even more money.

sure, ofc. Which means mostly kids who let their parents pay for it.

But even for kids there are easier and faster ways to earn money than 1 cent every 3 hours lmao.
Legit modern day slavery where the devs are earning thousand of dollars a day on gullible kids.

not that I have anything against the devs, they found out how to earn money, good for them.
The game itself just consumes RAM, the only time it consumes CPU is when you let it render anything. So, it won't run your bills really high unless you have a wack PSU that wastes more power when underperforming.

Yeah but as long as you don't buy bananas, you don't risk anything and it's just a funny collectible which is fair enough ig. Rubs me off that the market is anonymous too, I just like the game drops 'n that's it.

ofc it depends on your PC and country too, but in most of cases having the PC on all night will still use enough power to not make bananas profitable.

Lets say you get 3 drops at night, thats 3 cents. Your PC will use for more than 3 cent of power at night.

Which is fair, I got nothing agains the bananas really, I just think its silly that some people somehow think this almost slave labour kinda money is even worth it, or that they will be able to flip all the bananas they buy.

just for collecting its 100% fine, I also like to collect stuff in games.

Probably people questioning about "Shop Item" skins
You purchase from their shop or market at cheap price then sold it at high price after a month
Previously we can see who purchase the item on market but Steam make it private now
From what i saw on graph for all "Exceptional" which is skins from a shop, all increased on market list after a month.
Weird things is the people who purchased is only 1-2 for entire month, so people kinda suspicious who it was. Is it same person, is it dev who want to manipulate people to buy skins on their shop?
Who knows

Already seen one of the devs inventory, he got like 30ish bananas that are not sold any longer, that they probably gave to themself so they can wait a month or 2 and sell them.

So I guess they do manipulate their price on market list by themself.
When people get impatient they sell it for cheap then dev buy a bulk. Later after several weeks, dev put the same item with price increases bit by bit....I think i saw where this is going

Pretty sure they can just give themself the items.

i feel like there are two groups of banana haters; those with no patience and those with no self control.

I thought about that too, but people leave their PC on anyways so it shouldn’t be a big difference as this game hogs basically no resources.
the people who bring up "using electricity to power the computer" are people who don't pay the electricity bill. bunch of bozos
funny that the ones who aren't paying their own investments are the ones complaining about being scammed

I run 10,000 copies of the game on my 5 PC's and make $300 every 3 hours
