Hey if people want to buy stupid stuff let them do it, Im having that thing in the background while i play other games so, little to no impact on anything i jsut drop a few stuff sell them that's it, once the bubble burst and people stop carring about those i'll move on xD
For example, if you want to transfer money to your friend in another province, you can use a bank for that. If you don't store money in the bank, you'll have to manually fly over there just to give him your money. So banking system enable you to be much more efficient in transferring money.
Banking system also enable us to get our money anywhere we want without the need to actually carry our own money. So if you want to go on vacation to another country, you don't need to carry a suitcase filled with $100 bills. You just need to bring 1 credit card which you can easily slip within your wallet. Then use it to pay anything you buy in the other country.
There are tons of other benefits that you can get from a bank, besides interests. So no, you cannot compare this Banana game with a bank. It's not like comparing banana with banana (apple to apple).
I was gonna chime in but it looks like someone already beat me to the punch. But I will throw out there as well basically the point is middle man are fine, so long as they provide a tangible benefit that justifies them being there which is the whole point of a Banking System.
This game doesn't provide ANY benefit to the people who use it its just a lazy group of devs and friends who have a history of pump and dump scams, and other such nonsensical games with the idea to make lazy maximum profit games with store bought unity assets that turn the community market into a gamblers show with them profiting off of it. Also the banking system actually has many MANY government placed safe guards in place to avoid alot of the problems that something like the Crypto space faces because they have no regulation or safety in place to avoid a lot of the rife rug pull scams that are impossible to do in a official banking system.
My original point was while the game has nothing malicious in it on its own. The reason it exists is most likely, lazy malicious greed that exploits the market to maximize profit off of other users with there only defense being that its optional to partake in it. Which in this case is a bad use of the situational ethics defense in this argument as there arguing its only ethical because you have a choice to say no.
Which in this case is used to deny the deeper ethical/moral complaints with what there doing. Just because people can say no to partaking in it doesn't grant immunity to said valid complaints which is what fueled my want to argue to them in the first place.
The last time a Pump and Dump Scam was done by one of these Devs/Friends of the Devs Steam immediately ended the game and refunded all involved in the situation. To say they do nothing is disingenuous, its what they also did with The Day Before. I know the TF2 situation has valve look really bad in initiative. But when it pertains to there storefront they tend to be genuinely reliable on handling it. I think the reason it has not been taken down is the dump part of the pump scam has not been done yet but once it does that's when the ban hammer is slammed down.
Cause currently the scope sees a bunch of 3 cent bananas being traded which may not be enough in valves eyes to trip the alarm. Its kind of like holding a brick it itself is not a crime its only when they throw it at someone that it becomes one.
