SPY Fox 2: Some Assembly Required

Alternate Path?
I remember when I originally played this game as a kid, there were two routes: the venus flytrap path and the Destructo-lux path. But whenver I start a new game, I always get the venus flytrap path. Is there a way to get Destructo-lux?

I'd like to know this too. I've tried restarting the game 5 times, and still haven't gotten the Destructo route. And where's the little fangirl?

The Destructo-lux Path is random. Sometimes, you get to do that path & sometimes you don't get to do that path.

In the first one, I can't even remember how many times I restarted, just because I kept getting the Car Chase path.

The White Water Path in SPY Fox 1 is random. Sometimes, you get to do that path & sometimes you don't get to do that path.

The Destructo-lux Path is random. Sometimes, you get to do that path & sometimes you don't get to do that path. This happens when you beat the Game on the True Ending or Try Again Ending, just Select REPLAY at the Credits Screen to play again and the game paths will be randomized on your next playthrough so may end up with the Destructo-Lux Path.

HINT: Try using the LeRoach Talk Balloon on the Spy Watch. Monkeypenny will mention that LeRoach is either conducting Science or Plant Experments. That should help.

Try completing the game then selecting RESTART at the End Credits

Finish the game on the current path then at the End Credits, select RESTART. That should get you the next randomized Path.

You can guarantee one path or the other using the debug console.

First, start a new game and let it progress past the "It's a Junior Adventure" screen. If you don't do this, the game will have no initial world state, and it may crash later. Next, press Ctrl+D to open the debug console and type "room 46" without quotes to bring up the path select menu. Click on your desired path and then click the arrow to return to where you were previously.

Notably, you can also bring up a room select with "room 41" and an inventory editor with "room 4".

By the way, if you happen to have any other HE games, you can do something similar in most if not all of them. The debug tools are mapped to different rooms, so you will have to use some persistance in trial and error, but they *are* there. In my experience, over a relatively small sample size of two games, at least one of the tools tends to be mapped around room 45, so you can start your search there.

Have you saved your game after the getting the Try Again/Bonus Ending when you started the next playthrough?
