can't zoom out far enough and other newbie questions
I just installed x-plane, I keep leaving x-plane because I can't figure it out and go back to P3D. I'm really trying to stick with x-plane but i need to figure it out.
1. In the 3d cockpits i feel like my nose is up against the panel. when i hit the = button it zooms in more and - zooms out but I want to go even further out. is there a way to adjust the default distance back.

2. I set the resolution for 4k and all the options menus go to the bottom right and the bottom is cutoff. Any way to adjust this so it goes in the center?

3. I am able to pan every up right left and down but I can' t program the the 4 in between options. Are their any plug-ins to set the view direction thing to go in all directions? Like FSX

4. Approaches are missing from the GPS?

Thanks for the help

1: I believe you can use the arrow keys and . , keys to move around, and you can you your mousewheel too zoom in/out. Also you can click 1x the rightmouse button and keep it press and move your mouse to any direction to view around. Also in the outside view.
You also can change the keys for another option, like the keys to walk trough the plane for exampel, you can select wich key on the keryboard you want to use for it.

2: I have no idea.

3: To program the joystick keys (1 at a time) you first press a button on the stick , then select for what option you want to use it, flaps or gear for example, then go out of the menu to see if it works.

4: I believe when you have set an airport for example, you have can adjust between the sceens of the gps panel with the big and the small button downstairs on the right, some information should come up.

Good luck, and there is always a manual to read if you want to know more about X-Plane.

For a view, try to change field of view. Depends on monitor you have, I have screen resolution 1920 x 1200 and I've change it to 70 deg. And that's just what I like. Then zoom out until you're satisfied.
