Anyone ever made a purchase from X-Plane.org?

Just wondering what your experience was like since they have a storefront?

I'm going on a week and still can't get permissions to use their Froum downloads.
I'm already validated and can log in. Also have sent emails to Admin and even sales.

Apparently this is a common problem. I've seen numerous posts on YouTube and Google searches about the same permissions issues.

I'm really hesitant to purchase anything if it takes this long to get issues fixed on the Forum, especially when there are other options out there.

The funny thing is Laminar Research points to x-plane.org for free downloads and has even sent me quite a few emails when I installed the demo prior to purchasing the boxed version. Yet you can't get permission to download anything.

Anyone ever had any issues with the storefront purchases?

yup, bought a payware plane.. works great..no issues, and they even email me, with info, everytime when the plane gets patched

are you sure the "permissions" thing isnt like your computers Admin thing blocking you from doing things?

Nope. I can log into the Forums. Just can't do anything. It's been almost a week now.
Can't even send an email to Admin, just sales. They said they'd look into it but still nothing..

What email provider are you using?
If your email provider is on a blacklist then the forum system could be identifying your emails as spam mails and ignoring them. This could explain your situation.

x-plane.org is a well known and long standing site from were to buy planes for X-Plane 10 planes. I think www.x-pilot.com also sells planes and airports too. :)

maybe it works with a other browser,try google chrome or a other one.
My favorite is Boeing 777 or the Airbus A320Jar for the moment.

They must have not liked my comment. Where I could at least log on before, although without permissions I can't log on at all now. Says can not find account.

Glad I didn't give them any money for an addon in thier store. It's the worst site I've ever tried to get access to and the only site I have ever had a problem geting permission or access.
And now I'm getting emails from their store to buy stuff. Good luck with that.

X-Pilot worked great. And they gave me access within an hour or two.

Yes, I tried three different browsers and have Cox as my provider. I've never had an issues getting anywhere on the internet.

BTW, I've seen the same complaint on several forums and YouTube videos. Actaully quite a few.You can sign up but takes forever to get permission to do anything.

Not a big deal. There's plenty of places to buy addon aircraft for X-Plane beside X-Plane.org.

I'm just surprised Laminar Research recommends them when getting acess is a lengthy process and emails go unanswered.

BTW, I sent them questions from both my Cox and Gmail accounts. I seriously doubt they're black listed.

It's on your end, I had access instantly as well as the other people I fly with that has planes from them.

I am having the same problem. When I follow the link in the email it says I have already done so and it is waiting for an admin to approve my account. It has been about a week so far.
