X-Plane 10 + DLC No Longer on Steam!!!
So,..X-Plane is no longer being sold on Steam and all related DLC will only remain on Steam for a short while so if there's anything there on your Wish List,..you'd better hurry up!

Thing is,..what about those who already have X-Plane 10? Forget backups for a moment, will you still be able to download from Steam if you ever need to? Even though XP10 will not be sold on Steam, will it still show up for people who already purchased it and may need to re-download say because they built a new PC for example?

It will still show up. I still have old games like R.U.S.E. (This was removed years ago too) in my library that I can download at any time and play.

Though there is no need to rush payware purchases. All the payware addons are available off of Steam.

The same happened to GRID (2008) and F1 2012 and F1 2013. They aren't sold anymore, but they still show up in your library and you can still download and play. You payed for them, after all.

I became interested in X-Plane titles most recently; however X-Plane 11's minimum system requirements are well above my system while X-Plane 10 seems to be fine. Why isn't it on sale any longer?

Because they want new people to buy XP11. Thank goodness Dovetail Games didn't do that when they released TSW (Train Sim World). They at least still kept TS17 on Steam. For how much longer though is anybody guess.

Personally, I shall be upgrading to XP11 simply because XP10 is no longer supported and nobody really likes playing an older version of a game.

If you can run XP10 at an acceptable level than you should be able to run XP11 just as well.

Often times the specs released aren't always a tell on how well your PC can perform.

Not to mention there is a demo for both XP10 and XP11 still available. Give them both a shot, I reckon you wouldn't see much of a difference in performance. Though I will say XP11 is lacking in configuration for graphics in comparison to XP10, but the presets and what not aren't too bad.

For the settings that were removed.. one can try......

I wouldn't have bitten the forced upgrade otherwise.
