Xplane 11 update

Why are we not getting the update to xplane 11?? Their web site says the key will be usable on both 10 and 11 . I never got a key !!! Can anyone shed some light on this?

Due to many questions, here are some general informations about the X-Plane 11 from our site (Aerosoft).



We (Aerosoft) will sell the box version and the digital download version of X-Plane 11.
The download version will require a key again.
For the box version, I can not say anything about copy protection :)

All discount/upgrade/early discount...: Only as long as the offers are valid (see shop).

There will be a Box upgrade price for owners of the Aerosoft Box version X-Plane 10 .

This will be at 49.69 euros incl. 19 % VAT.

If you purchased the box version directly from Aerosoft Shop please enter your five-digit order number (X-Plane 10) during the order process so that you automatically get the update price.
If you purchased the box by other suppliers please send us the DVD 8 of X-Plane 10. You get it back :)



With immediate effect (Oct/21/2016) all customers buying the download version of X-Plane 10 will receive the upcoming version of the accurate flight simulator series – X-Plane 11 – for free!

Price at the time: 49,99 Euro.

The dual serial key will be provided to you after purchase for activating both X-Plane 10 and X-Plane 11.

Once the new version has been released you will find the download version of X-Plane 11 on the order history page of your customer account.

Please note that the boxed version is excluded from this.



X-Plane 11 will be available with STEAM too. But the handling is still open. This Laminar Research will handle. Also the appointment is open.


I just copied this from AEROSOFT. As I read it, sounds to me like Steam should be giving us xplane 11 update !!!

Hello,

the Steam Version don't have a Key. Here the Steam Account is the copy protection.
Additionally the new X-Plane 11 Steam Version will be handled by Laminar Research (developer) as the Publisher now. So I cannot say how Laminar Research will handle this...

It's a promo for new customers during the beta. It's not really a case of if you buy it through the website you get a free upgrade, but steam customers must pay twice (although they would be totally in their power to do that). It's just if you buy 11, they give you a download code for 10. If you previously bought 10 before this promo they don't give you 11.

Why aren't they offering this on steam? Probably because Valve take a big bite outta their ass on every licence sold on steam, while on their website it's all just cash in the bank and a digital licence for their old product costs them nothing.

Think about it - they always want new customers. If you're a new customer right now what would you buy? 11 isn't finished and lacking add-ons, and 10 is about to be replaced. It's just to get people on the fence to jump in. All developers have a cash flow problem before a new version, as everyone holds off buying knowing there's a new version, but the developer is putting in triple over time to try and get the product out. As to why they don't offer that promo on steam? Almost definitely the fact they get more money if you buy through them as I said.

No, I've bought on Steam X-plane 10 because STEAM say in his announce that I'll receive à free copy of X-plane 11 like others users in this site (november 2016), so there is only a question: where is my download link for X-plane 11, there isn't? Please refund me.

thank you all for responding. Ipergallo has it right; if you bought it on Steam, we were to get 11 when it came out. That is what i read here on steam. they must have changed it very quickly to make that extra $$$$$ now i stuck with 10. Thanks Steam
