External mic not working?

I have a (working) external mic which runs through my audio interface. For some reason it does not work in the games proximity chat. I have tried changing the default input in the game, in my windows settings yet nothing works. The mic works perfectly fine on discord and while testing it through windows settings. Any ideas on how to make it work in game?

Make sure the input is set to the correct mic. Also make sure you have open mic or push to talk activated.

There is now a setting in the game to change default mic. Check to make sure its the correct one!

Yup I have tried all of that.

I have tried it now and it still doesn't work. It acts like the mic is disabled when you change it from the default one. I have also tried with another mic now and it also doesn't work.

I also am having microphone problems. Checked it outside of the game and it's working, but no dice in-game.

My microphone works but I had a game yesterday where people were complaining about it and I couldn't identify wtf they were talking about when I went to check my mic and nobody in-game would actually tell me the issue, so my mic is picking up some kind of noise and I have zero clue what?

It's a good headset but apparently it just has issues with the microphone which if it does, then that'd suck for me

Same issue. Mic not working but works everywhere else and in other games. Any help appreciated as without a mic you can't really participate in the game.
