No More Room in Hell 2

Random Map Concepts
Hey! These are some map concepts I had stuck in my head for the longest time now. I don’t really expect these maps to get added, I just thought it would be cool to think about. If they are added, details should be changed to fit what the devs had in mind for the Story and gameplay, obviously. It should be noted that the CRC should not be a combat effective savior group. They should be as much of a victim to circumstance as the people they are helping. Tell me what would you add? it wouldn’t hurt to have more ideas.

Mall of the Dead
Map type: OBJ, Linear, medium.
There’s a mall filled to the brim with supplies, and the dead unfortunately. Ammo, guns, food, clothes, this could be the jackpot. But we can’t haul a whole ass mall out to the CRC, and if secured it could make an amazing safe zone. Let’s go shopping!

(The map would involve the responders barricading and then clearing out the Pittsburgh mall. Just like Dawn of the Dead 1978.)

Grave Matter
Map type: Survival, Linear, small.
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥! We underestimated the fuel usage! The pilot said he can land to refuel, but you boys gotta hold him off while he does it!

(The map would involve the responders defending a relatively small area while the helicopter refuels. Just like the similar scene in Dawn of the Dead 1978. This map was inspired from the certain times in payday 2 when the vehicle would crash and you would have to wait for/find an alternate way to escape.)

Hell in the Making
Map type: Survival, Non-linear, Large.
Ohio is straight outta power, and most of everything west of ‘em. The “South African Plan” may seem like it’s working, but leaving people to die ain’t our style of working is it? Now we can’t afford to bring anyone back here, way too many mouths to feed. But I think we have just enough supplies to make sure they can fend for themselves. We do this right, and this could be great for PR.

(The map would involve the responders attempting to reinforce Redeker zones themselves, as the military left them to die. This map would work better as a gamemode theme than a single map, like in the first nmrih. It would be awesome to have multiple survival maps with this concept, the setting could literally be anywhere across the US. This idea was inspired by the Wwz book.

The Line
Map type: OBJ, Non-linear, Large.
Washington D.C. is on complete lockdown. Over 60 miles of razor wire, kill zones, entrenched positions, and the dead. The army can hold, but they could definitely use some help. If we can help alleviate their situation, I think our efforts could be recognized, and rightly rewarded.

(The map would involve the responders helping the army attempt to distract and lead the masses of the dead out of certain high value areas of Washington DC. I figure a few toppled buildings and some loud noises could at the very least stall the advance.)

Firestorm
Map type: OBJ, Non-linear, Large.
The military seemed to really like what we did back there. New York is on fire and those pour souls don’t have a lot of ways to get out. The Brass said they’ll hold off on bombing runs if we can go in and save as many as we can. I’m thinking it’s about to get real damn hot.

(The map would involve the responders getting the train station out of Brooklyn/Broadway/any location in New York into working condition, and then finding a way to rescue as many civilians as they can. Basically, Brooklyn 2 or Broadway 3. I’m just trying to make it work story wise, if it didn’t already.)

Gun Run
Map type: OBJ, Non-linear, small.
Silence is the name of the game here boys. There’s a group of “Rebs” lookin’ to take what we got, by force. We don’t have the manpower to fight an armed force, but the military sure does. If we can find where those ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ are hiding, the air force, or what’s left of it, can do the rest.

(The map would involve the responders attempting to locate a Rebel holdout somewhere in Springfield. Springfield is just a placeholder location, it could be set literally anywhere close to the CRC. This idea was inspired by the Wwz book and The Waling Dead. Also no npc enemys pls, It’s all fun and games until you get hit scanned by a bot.)

14 Mile Tombstone
Map type: OBJ, Linear, medium.
We getting real snug with the military boys. They apparently got a bunker somewhere near the coast of Florida. They been trying to contact them for weeks, but they never get a response. They can’t spare the manpower, what with “Yonkers” and all. They want us to investigate, there's apparently a VIP, one “Dr. Logan”. If he’s still alive then we take him with us, if he’s not, then we take his work. They are willing to spare a great deal of rations for this one, and I for one, am gettin’ real hungry. This is how we eat.

(The map would involve the responders searching the complex from the movie Day of the Dead 1985, or the map FEMA as most would remember it. I’m still confused if this game is a legitimate sequel or a soft reboot, so they should just change the map details to fit whichever one.)

Also sry for the wall of text, I am copying this from a document I made just to write these ideas down

Yep. Do you have some cool concepts for any original maps?

Yes, more smaller, linear maps that are stable and bug-free. Also have them listed in a server browser. One of the most attractive things about the first NmRiH is the ability to join any game at any time, while still requiring players to be serious about every game they join. Both relaxing and demanding at the same time.

Linear maps with fixed respawns will bring many people from the first game over.
Like a short and sweet snack after a hard day.

Fix the bugs and the janky FPS tho XD

I like linear maps, but it shouldn't be every map. I believe the open map concept of the powerplant was very fun. We should have a mix of linear maps like broadway and non-linear maps like powerplant. But mostly non-linear maps (way more fun).
I fully agree. More options, more maps are always a good thing. The first game is still thriving because of it. They even have a few PvPvE servers, lol. Very clunky but fun. Variety is what made NmRiH a household brand. You have classic servers, workshop map servers, infinite ammo servers, etc.
We can have the same thing here. A server browser with classic servers and custom servers listed. Killing Floor 2 does this best, I believe.

This game needs to fix its core first, then the modding can commence!
