I don't think the objective should be timed that long, but yeah certain obj's being timed would be good. Not each one though, that would get old fast.
After the first week, I knew what would happen with the pacing of the game, because it happens all the time in games like L4D, Vermintide, or any other co-op game where you move through a level. When the game adds XP per completion, it further incentivizes people to try and blast through a level to be XP efficient.
This can make the game ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ to play with randoms because it only takes one or two impatient people to completely ruin a run by going faster than people who aren't as comfortable moving that fast.
Each playthrough for me has been 40 minutes at a minimum. If you don't wan't to go with the flow of your team, then I suggest finding and readying up with people in a private server who want to take their time. If your team is at the plant and your at the Field Hospital you need to stop what you're doing and join them.
