No More Room for positive reviews
Anyone who leaves a positive review for this game is everything what's wrong with the game industry.
This is why we can't have nice things.

No. This is why a mixed review should exist instead of a yes or no.

This game is a very, and I mean VERY mixed-biased game.

On one hand, the gameplay is great and the premise is fun, having to work together with 7 other survivors who may or may not be strangers to you.

On the other hand, with the issues of hitboxes, bugs, guns/melee feeling weak and animations being weird on zombies, it ruins a lot of players experience because of it.

This game is good, it just needs more time, it should've been cheaper or it should've come out on EA much later.

A bad launch shouldn't set a game's future in stone. There have been plenty of games that had a bad launch that are doing okay now. One example I can think of is Darktide. I heard it had a horrible launch and the game was dead, I play it nowadays and it's a lot of fun.

We can't have nice things because alongside neglect from developers, the community is a large part of a game's lifespan, if everyone spits on every product that comes out, the gaming community will never have nice things, yet people are too self-centred to realise that unfortunately.

So unfortunately, people like you are also what is wrong with the game industry, believe it or not.

PS: Don't take this as me defending the game. I agree it has been a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ from the start but that doesn't mean developers are going to abandon ship and leave it the way it is after "stealing everyone's money".

You know what's more wrong? Stating that people shouldn't have a difference in opinion, over a video game.

*Devs delivers a pre-alpha test game for 30$ price tag.

-Gamers : WTF is this ? This shouldn't been launched in this state
-Also Gamers : people like you are also what is wrong with the game industry,

This is just absurd.

-This game is good : No it's not. The idea is good.
-It just needs more time : Then the devs shouldn't have released it.
- It's EA : EA doesn't mean "Open beta" or "Pre-Alpha" Core game should be at least playable.

This is just common sense. OP is right.

My favorite part of the positive reviews is how they all say "it will be good in the future" lmao. Yeah guys, let's review a product on how we think it will be 6 months from now:steamdeadpan:

This reminds me of The Day Before and all it's defenders. That game had hilariously glowing reviews from legit users. That was EA, right?
I actually like the game. I think if they fix melee combat and the server synq'ing, they have a fun idea going on.

You can have your bad opinion, but that won't change the fact that the game is crap.

I think the game is crap and I do own it. I also think it's good in many ways but I'm not going to smile and say thank you when someone sells me crap. Obviously the majority agree with us.

You're missing my point. My point is that people saying the game is good, are just as valid as the people saying it isn't.

Doesn't change the fact. That you can't respect people to have an opposing opinion at all. You're not directly insulting the game anymore, but those who are leaving a positive review, why?

It's not their fault you didn't research the product. You mindlessly bought it out of impulse, assuming it'll meet your expectations, while in a prototype phase (which is wild).

Those who are leaving a positive review are keeping an open mind of the concept and its potential. Not everyone needs instant gratification.

No man's sky is the perfect example of why game's shouldnt die based off their release situation.

The game is objectively terrible by every single metric. Giving this game a positive review is like saying human feces tastes good
Kyota Oct 23, 2024 @ 6:31am
It's not that hard.

If you have the mental faculties to separate your personal attachment to a video-game you'd be able to answer very simple questions such as:

Is this game finished?
No.
Then how can it possibly be good?
It can't

You're deluded by the game's "potential" - which is essentially an empty-promise that the studio con'ed you into believing - that "promise" has nothing to do with the current state of the game.

Objectively this game is a lemon, pure and simple.
