Review bombing is getting out of hand.
It's important to remember this game is in a bare bones state, if you're expecting perfection upon alpha release, then you'll be very disappointed. The network is overwhelmed with unexpected player growth. It's day 1, (not even a few hrs in) criticism is understandable and necessary but the devs never said it was going to be "free" or finished upon early access release. Considering who the devs are, I have no doubt they're working to resolve some of these issues. Especially the ones revolving around network connections. Chivalry 2 runs like a dream, and they do a great job fixing related issues. All I'm saying is give it a couple of weeks before we start blowing up the project into a dis-repairable reputation.

5k players "Unexpected player worth" kekw

The devs released a product they think is worth 30$, so they are bound to receive 30$ worth of criticism for their product. It's a very simple transaction

If you are being serious and think that it's a review bomb, you have a very strange outlook on things. Go play the game for yourself before continuing this debate please

Couldn´t have said this better. People who are defending this, well I rather not write this here otherwise I get banned.

It's less stable than Forever Winter was on launch.

That's unacceptable even as an early access title.

I'm running into jittery/missing animations, zombies sliding on the ground, ping and network issues at 20 ping as well as balance issues. Early access is for early access, not whatever this is.

You don't know what ''review bomb'' is. Which not applies in this scenario.

I suppose everyone has their own take on what the first public build of an Early Access game should look like, but I don't think it's unusual for people to be critical of something in a "bare bones alpha" state to meet certain expectations before dropping $30 on it.

Lol no. It's janky as hell but not level of forever winter jank.

People are leaving reviews on a current game state not what "maybe will be in the future"
You have 2 hours to play before refunds are stale.

And once you start charging for the game you can throw away the "still early access" excuse. If you charge money, you are expected to deliver.

Anyone else very sick of people who protect games that were years in development only to come out with game-breaking bugs, glitches and overall trash experience? Sick of the "Early Access" flag too, it's being abused and overused as an excuse.

Sometimes, downvoting a game to send a message that destroying 6 years worth of effort and work, just to make a more generalized version of said game targeted at a wider audience that ends up being next to unplayable with guaranteed 200+ ping lobbies, zombies teleporting right up to you, and having the nerve to charge 30 dollars for what is essentially a shell of what once was is despicable.

And thats not even to say that the downvoting isnt justified, if you upvote the game then you yourself are saying you would recommend that others go out and spend their hard earned money on *this*, whereas downvoting means you wouldnt recommend it. would YOU recommend people play this game how it is right now? no? didnt think so.

Selling games in straight up broken states needs to stop, i understand that it's a trait that comes with early access, but this shouldnt even be early access, this is like a quick attempt at scraping money together to keep the project going, i've literally gotten stuck on invisible walls and floors that you cant walk on to the point i had to leave the game, and all i did was jump down a hill, is that the state you want people to play this game on?

I just hear sad excuses.

I left a negative review because I cant even get into a match, I crash every time I try to load in. And my system meets the requirements. But I guess I should just roll over and let this company take my 30 dollars for a product I cant even use and let others waste their money on it as well, rather than stating the fact of the matter that this game cant even run functionally atm.

people with high end graphics cards are also experiencing issues, but with this logic, I suppose we should all just wait to buy the newest high-end cards coming in the following years so we have a chance to play this current state master piece!

When Outlast Trials released in what is early access it was a perfection. No excuse.

yep, i played outlast trials the day it became available on steam with a couple friends, and it was actually perfect, there is 0 reason why games companies should be allowed to sell pre-alpha games that look nice and get away with it
