unable to join friend

so me and a friend have the game, we are unable to join eachother in game. we both changed our friend code, quit game and started up again but there is no way for us to join. we both see eachother in the offline section. we are both online on steam too. how do we get round this?

The team function requires the service EasyAntiCheat_EOS Easy Anti-Cheat (Epic Online Services) to be activated
Check if it is closed

I have found a "FIX" for this me and my friends had the same issue.

Step 1. If you are already friends with each other on steam then you have to edit your steam profile privacy setting and put your "Profile" & "Game Details" on friends only.

When you do this you will appear online for steam friends in the game.

That is how me and my friends got it to work i have no idea if the "Friend Code" works or not but this fix is for "Steam Friends Only".

P.S you may only have to do "Game Details" only instead of Profile but i am unsure i just did both and i also think the Friend Code only works if you are not already friends with people on steam is the reason it is showing "Invalid"
