Question about extraction

Can you extract mid mission ( getting less xp but a least you character survive, you know have to respond to real life event sometimes) or they force to commit to the final mission on the map to extract.

From what I've seen you can't extract unless you complete the final objective.

Isn't the mission stopping a nuclear meltdown? I think it's either do the mission or everyone for several kilometers get irradiated...plus zombies.

Will there be a failsafe function. idk If the meltdown is happening there should still be a way to stop it like reset 3 circuit breaker switches.

Damn. I am new to extraction games so I was pretty hyped to see that we were going to get a zombie extraction game, but having to commit to the full thing every run sounds rough. Hopefully there are more ways to get out in the future. Fuel a car and drive to the edge of the map, repair a radio tower and call in a helicopter, repair and fly out in a helicopter yourself, etc etc.

Also read in another post you can't solo, you can only get into a game if 8 players join or the queue is open for a long time. Oh well, maybe we'll get another zombie extraction game in the next few years.

I think I've read and seen enough lol. Factorio expansion is out. I should be done with that in time for no more room in hell 3
