A update is coming soon, Players should come back for a bit. With only one map and the game being in EA and missing lots of features how long that player base will stick around will have to be seen.

They'll come back for 1 match and leave after.

I did the same thing, the game is still the same crap. There is no profile or character evolution, and the ones that do exist seem to not change at all.
Terrible weapons.

Sorry but this is honestly huge cope. Until the game is fully released there will not be a revival of players. Whenever a game ♥♥♥♥♥♥ the bed this hard on release, the chances of its revival are next to none. Games like No mans sky, and Cyberpunk had ASTRONOMICAL budgets that aided in their upkeep, repair, marketing, and revival. I havent checked, but I wouldnt be shocked if NMRIH had a budget of under a couple million. There simply isnt enough gas in the tank.

According to him this was the state it was in when Torn Banner bought it. Also according to him, the game has been in development since 2014, 12 WHOLE YEARS.

Hello Games self published No Man's Sky and with their previous titles being far less successful than Chivalry 1 and 2 I doubt their budget to turn NMS around was astronomical. Hello Games really proved that anyone can turn a game around as long as the devs stick at it, I hope it's the same case here.

Hey, at least it's not Fallout 76 level of scam, where Steam only downloaded launcher, and then launcher downloaded game itself, so launcher would count as game for Steam, and if your download was longer than 2 hours, no refunds were possible.

I'd refund if I could honestly.. I haven't been able to finish 1 single game without crashing, not a single one. My PC meets the requirements, I literally run better games then this and I can actually play them.... You know.. without crashing.. So I don't need my toes stepped on, this is an optimization issue on there end. I reported it to them via email, they replied and basically told me to send them the same info I sent them in 1st email.. Second email I was told the matter would be investigated.
( I can't refund because I bought from CDkeys.. It's $10 cheaper there and no way I was gonna be a fool and pay $30 for an EA game from a studio name no 1 really knows. ) I'm still glad I paid what I paid, cause in time hopefully they fix it, and while they do that my time will be invested in properly optimized games.
You can refund after 2 hours sometimes. I have refunded games with 4 hours in it because i said the game didnt work.

you got scammed and a community manager being paid $20 an hour is typing in discord to keep your hopes up as 5 people who are also being paid like $25 an hour who hate working on this game work on it

Some fail to grasp why players departed and won't return anytime soon. The remedy lies in a rebranding and a fundamental overhaul, shifting the core focus. Engagement lacks, offering no sense of achievement. Let's not label departing players as "haters". This game needs a significant makeover, akin to receiving chemotherapy, yet it remains a lost cause. The faith in a revival died upon the initial release. For myself and dedicated fans, this game will forever fall short of its predecessor, unable to reclaim its former glory.
