Yes devs, make this an extraction zombie shooter. OFFLINE MODE IS A MUST
Hi, just stopping by to say my piece since people are having an aggressive reaction to the new direction of the game...
I think it's great actually.
People say the extraction market is over saturated but if you think about it, how many other zombie games, up to 8 player PVE/SOLO/OFFLINE*, extraction/permadeath, more hardcore shooters are there...?
*devs better keep an offline mode with no internet connection required or I and others will RIOT.*
If there's an internet connection required I will yell from the rooftops to not support the game.

There's plenty online only, pvp/pvpve games that are tarkov chasers etc. But I genuinely have a hard time thinking of a similar combination of features in a similar game to the direction this game has now taken.
I really think this hits an amazing niche that will prove to be a fun and unique experience. We have been playing L4D for over a decade, and NMRIH for a long time as well......
Let the devs do what they want!!!!!
Let them experiment a bit and try something outside the classic L4D style. If it's a swing and a miss it's still early access.

I'm inclined to agree with you. Though I still don't think it will be an extraction shooter in the traditional sense, i'm not entirely opposed to the idea.

Gonna have to wait to see but I do wish they would've pushed the extraction aspect as a side mode. Perhaps community content will be able to carry the old-school approach while the devs pursue the new angle? Completely agreed on the offline sentiments. Confused why you compared old NMRIH to L4D though, it wasn't like L4D. Original NMRIH was much more akin to Resident Evil Outbreak, the pacing is drastically different.
