Looks like they bought Lever Games (the original devs) and the IP. If you look at the official page and steam page Torn Banner is listed as devs and publisher aswell. I don't know how i feel about this...

AI chat filtering, battle passes. They are a Canadian studio so say something the devs don't like including criticizing the game and they will likely permaban you. (See: Their track record with Chivalry 2) The game will be filled with skins and if they could get away with it there would be lootboxes too. The immersion will be gone in favor of nickel and diming you for an extra buck, and there will be likely constant issues with server stability.

This will also fundamentally impact the roadmap, and you'll probably see heavy epic games integration. But don't give Torn Banner all the credit for this, it's the original developers who chose to sell out. They could have had integrity but they pulled a Notch for far less money.
