There is a tactic that was used by US Subs when I served on SSN-660 in late 70's to evade incoming torpedoes that required the use of the HF sonar. Only worked if the torpedo was coming toward you from the front of the sub. Essentially you dove under the torpedo but you had to do it going fast, dive hard and dive at just the right time. We trained using the tactic against dummy warhead Mk37 torpedoes fired at us from another US sub. I only saw it executed correctly once. The tactic works in the game too but - you have to do it correctly and the timing is critical. Good Luck if you try it - you'll need it.
