Hello,
Normally, in such a situation, you have to start over. But no matter how much we try to prevent it as a game developer, it is possible to cheat money using the Cheat Engine in the week you are in and then go to the ATM screen. In this way, you can continue in the situation you are in, but we only recommend this if you are very advanced in the game because feeling like you have unlimited money in the game will destroy the difficulty of the game.
Wouldn't that be a good time to let players use the credit system in the ATM? I'm about 2 hours in and I just had the same issue happened. I understand I messed up by increasing my expenses like that but that's normally where credit would come into play. I really don't want to use cheats to beat this game because its really fun but having to start over because I didn't want to take the sanity hit is rough. My punishment for not checking my expenses should be taking credit, not a full game over. Again the game is really fun I just want to play more without having to start over.
Thank you very much for your nice comment and advice. We may review and try to update the ATM screen credit withdrawal feature before the game over. However, if this may cause other issues, we will have to pass on this.
I hope you continue to have fun on JudgeSim, best wishes
If you play the game for 4 hours but do not understand the economy system and why you are kicked out of the game, I really have no comment to make.
There is no place to spend money in the game except family requests, bribery and blackmail transactions, bar, gambling scenes. There are descriptions of each section, if it is a long-term process in family requests, it is indicated. I wonder what you want an explanation about, please feel free to specify.
I wouldn't want anyone to use a ‘Cheat Engine’, as a player and developer we are against cheating. However, I made this suggestion in response to a player not wanting to start over after a few hours in a linear game when they have exhausted all their chances. I wish you would read all the posts in the thread before you twist things.
I'm sorry but a response like this from the developers it totally unacceptable. You look amateurish in your PR.
The players have suggested to improve the economy system by making it more realistic. The current system is naive in doing "if balance < 0 then complete_utter_game_over()". It's surely not making the game "fair", nor "fun". It makes it unjust and unforgiving. You have already developed the logic for getting a loan. The player should be able to counter debt by taking a loan (with interest). A further development might be to add a credit score and compute interests based on that. *This* is what make simulator games fun. Forcing players to repeat the same stuff over and over? Not fun, ever.
Instead of suggesting that a player looks impaired because they haven't understood the economy system after 4 hours of playing, listen to the feedback and fix your game. There are companies that are willing to pay money to get some honest feedback, so take the advice and treasure it.
I did not use the word ‘disabled’ in my answer. I questioned how the person said ‘without any explanation’ about the bankruptcy system after playing our game for 4 hours. Because in all family requests and credit options, the payment amount and duration are written. If he went bankrupt, it was because of the wrong choices he made.
In my subsequent messages, I stated that he did not read the above messages and acted as if I had said ‘use cheating’ and that this was not true.
The financial system as it is now is challenging and makes the player think twice about things. This is what we were aiming for when preparing and testing the economy system. In future projects we will add a difficulty option and give it to those who want to play easier. But if you just want to solve cases on a JudgeSim basis and get rid of the factors that bother you, you can try the ‘I am the Law’ mode.
I respect your comment that the game isn't fun, and we're sorry we didn't appeal to you.
