Give a warning about multiplayer for permadeath mode
Started my first playthrough with permadeath mode, because I like to be challenged in single player games.

After a few days of grinding for characters and not really being challenged, I casually queued up my first PvP match....

Why...

Just tell me why...

... There is no warning, or any information at all, about what is at stake during a multiplayer game. For such a CASUAL game, suddenly there are epic consequences for a CASUAL multiplayer match?

Why would anyone ever want to play multiplayer with permadeath mode?

Why is it even an option?

Why is this not described when creating a permadeath account?

I totally understand the point of permadeath during single player, but for multiplayer, when all that matters is your team composition, what's the point?

Basically my point is: if you're gonna pull that ♥♥♥♥♥, you're excluding multiplayer for anyone who wants to enjoy the challenge of permadeath in single player mode.

And you should warn them that they will be excluded.

I know this isn't what you want but the patch notes mentioned that permadeath would apply to pvp too.

The only option for the permadeath player (if wants to keep the characters alive) is concede the match before losing any character. I agree that i don't see much the point for perma in PvP: it forces you to use cakes and virtually forces you to concede too early if losing

I think it would be fine as is if permadeath people only matched against other permadeath people. Outside of that yea it probably doesn't make sense to participate unless you're ready to lose some people heroically.

Sorry for the unpleasant surprise. We feel there is somewhat of a warning in place, as when starting a Permadeath save slot you see this message you must confirm:

Permanently activate Permadeath?

Permadeath means upon death fighters will be gone forever.

If you lose Story fighters, Story cannot continue.

Forever afterwards, the permadeath icon displays next to your nametag up top as well as in the lobby before fighting. You can forfeit the match and keep any fighter that is alive.

The reason you're allowed to do this is because you can already play without losing your fighters by using a non-Permadeath save, and we wanted to give people who want to play with extra pressure the option of doing so.
