Character names with strange effects?

[Frosk]

I'm going to keep this short and sweet, essentially I have encountered (and recruited) characters with coloured or jiggly names. Is there any meaning to this? Can you get these names without the visual effects, or is it like a way of showing rarity?


Examples:
My Rainbow Horse (Deleted) has a green name.

My Gnome (Hairy) has a jiggly name, like with Pipistrellas mace or the promo items for owning battleblock or castle crashers. Although the Gnome he's paired with does not have this visual effect.

In the match where I recruited Hairy, there was also a cyclops with a jiggly name (I think it was smash or something)?

In the side quest where the guy has a swordfish stabbed in his back, I encountered a human named Claw, who had a red name.

There's a 1% chance of encountering a unit with colored/shaky/wavy variants of any regular name. It's just a visual effect and doesn't affect gameplay
