last I heard they were thinking of scrapping the game and rebuilding it in new engine since all the audio is supposedly recorded. so another 10 years? I mean this is just a hobby to them.

The 'new engine', ie the move from Wintermute to Unity was used as an excuse for yet another missed Halloween release a few years back.
Then they released the demo. In Wintermute.
I suspect that anything since, eg the odd video of Nigel in another pub is Lost Crown/Halloween Horror assets over a few new backdrops done in Wintermute.
This just isn't happening.

Seriously? I haven't bothered to check on the game for a while, so this is new for me... not that I expect to see the game anytime soon, if ever, but rebuilding it in a new engine? They might just as well cancel the whole thing.

It looks rubbish and outdated...why stick around for 10 plus years for an old outdated game? there is 100s of great games out there in this genre
