500 Armor

I'm near 100% completion on this game, just have to clear Curse 6 on 2 Elaine and Jango, but for the life of me I can't seem to hit 500 Armor even while trying to go as heavy on armor as I can, with Alaric's ability was close but I can't seem to hit it!!
Anyone have any tips? Is there anyway to influence more armor out of item pick ups? Thanks!

Try to focus on maximum possible damage and flesh armor with Baldwin

sense this game came out the most armor i have ever gotten is 300. not because im lacking skill but because its basically 100% luck in getting the items you need to get there. you need to get lucky enough to get everything you need which i hate that its a luck based achievement. i only get half the items i need to get the 500 armor and spent more time restarting then anything else at this point.
