Train Station Power Grid Bug
Hello! I am currently stuck in the train station of Act 2, where I am supposed to connect the three boxes to their respective power sources. Initially, I completed the puzzle and all three boxes were showing green; however, the cutscene did not take place. After following community advice of disconnecting all three boxes from their respective power sources and reconnecting them, I loaded a save just before attempting the puzzle. Now, the puzzle is solved, but none of the boxes are showing green. If I go back to all three switches, they are all in the upright position, but I can no longer toggle them.

I went back to a save prior to my throwing one of the switches, and it looks like I can throw that switch and get the box to turn green, but the other boxes do not turn green (as if the other two switches are toggled off).

If the bug cannot be sorted, is there a way to skip ahead (ie, with a hidden console command)? Due to the autosave feature's behaviors in this game, there are no longer any autosaves available from prior to my toggling all three switches, and I would have to load a save that results in me losing several hours of progress (and even then, there is no guarantee the puzzle will work). After searching the forum here, this appears to be a persistent glitch from at least back in June, and it's a bit disheartening to know it's still not patched out. I otherwise love the game and have enjoyed it up until now.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Sho03,

Sorry about your issue! We are currently updating engine to partly address that bug that seems to only occur for some players, but your situation seems new.

The community solution was to disconnect the power boxes from their sources without reloading afterwards, did you reload first and tried it, or tried it first and then reloaded?

Never the less, I can fix this for you, please just email us your saves from C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Empathy\Saved to contact@empathygame.org and we'll take care of it asap.

@Cores, did the above trick of disconnecting all power stations from sources and reconnecting them work for you? If not, please send us your saves too.

Hello Pixel Night,

Thank you very much for what is probably the quickest response I've received for a trouble ticket, ever. I've sent over my 'Saved' folder in a .zip to the email address specified. Please let me know if you need any additional information.

Thanks!

Hi again. I was able to proceed with puzzle solving as normal from your most recent save (see steps in email), but I see from older ones that some weird stuff was going on there. Regardless, I attached post-scene save files in my email reply to you just in case.

Bought the game yesterday.
I have the same problem now, so the problem isn't fixed yet.
Currently if i load my save games, the puzzle cant finished.
The switches are all done, but the puzzle is not green like i hadnt pulled the switches.

So it seem the bug with the puzzle still exists and the game state could be corrupted.
Is there a solution near?
Cant proceed the game :(

Hi T-Virus! Sorry about the hassle, if the fix of disconnecting all the "sources" on the grid and reconnecting them again doesn't work, please email us your saves per above instructions and we'll fix it.

Hi T-virus, thank you for your patience, sent you the fixed saves. it's something we definitely want to fix permanently, but been somewhat delayed by engine upgrade issues, which is the reason it been taken is this long to address it.

Had found a nother problem, little issue this time.
In the part where i need to let the bridge down.
I got spotted by spot light.
Then i pulled the switch, so the bridge moved double so i couldn't cross the bridge.
Need to fixed too.

I found a semi alternate way to fix the bug.

I got the bug too. Might be because I finished the puzzle before flipping the last switch. all boxes green all power green. The switch under the puzzle had reset but no way to flip it up again.

I tried the unconnecting of the boxes. Reconnected them in every order possible.
Then I saved the game and quit.
Restarted the game, picked continue. Was put near switch 3 for some reason.
Ran back to the puzzle. Unconnected everything again, reconnected it and the cutscene triggered.

Thanks, this helped me out and it worked. I saved the game near the switch by the tunnel entrance, quit and relaunched the game, then pressed Continue. After returning to the puzzle I disconnected everything and reconnected it again and immediately the cutscene triggered.
