M2 MacBook Air running Sequoia 15.2 demo black screen
I'm trying the demo and all I'm getting is a black screen, but I can hear the music playing. I quit the game and reopen and I get a black screen with a tan box in the middle of the screen. Demo is not playable on Mac currently, and I'm reluctant to buy the game.

I apologize for the inconvenience.
Everything works fine on my M1 Mac, so this issue may be specific to the M2 chip. I will investigate further, but as I need to set up an M2 environment for testing, resolving this may take some time.

So I don't know what's up, but all of a sudden the game worked and I was able to play it. I changed nothing on my end, and there were no updates to the game or steam 🤷🏻‍♂️

I didn’t change anything, so I’m not sure why it started working.
Either way, I hope you enjoy DigDigDrill!

I am now getting this bug (black screen with tan in the middle, music playing) after 11 hours of playing no problem. Any fix available at all? EDIT: i went to the digdigdrill folder and opened the game from there and was able to load the game normally, and since then am able to open the game from the steam client.

Sorry for the inconvenience.
I haven’t been able to set up the M2 environment yet, so the issue remains unresolved.

I just purchased the game. Played it for about an hour, had fun. Went to grab some lunch.
Later on in the same day, I tried to launch it again and kept getting a blank screen + music.

For a split second when I launch I see the launch screen. I've tried rebooting my whole system and even uninstalling and reinstalling the game, but nothing seems to work. It's a very strange bug.

Update: I'm able to workaround the bug on macOS 15.1.1 by doing the following:

1. Launching the game. (Blank screen)
2. Launching Mission Control to get out of the blank screen while leaving the app running.
3. Going to the macos display settings and changing the resolution.
4. Returning to the still-open game.

It seems like changing the resolution is forcing some logic to refresh or something, since it doesn't appear to matter if I increase or decrease my system resolution setting, it still brings back the screen. Super weird bug.

I did some quick google searching and it seemed like this might be an issue on many Unity games.

P.S. It appears the issue is only reproducible when launching in full screen mode.

I'm very troubled by this issue and am currently investigating how to fix it.
Thank you for providing the detailed information!
easy player side fix - don't use apple stuff for games....
