Storing items so they don't disappear?

Randomly between days or when booting up a save, all my items are gone. Even if stored in the fridge. Am I storing them in correctly? I lost beef patties both in box and in trays, lettuce in bulk and in tray, soda cups, paper wrappers, pickles, ketchup and mayo tins...

Is there a specific place to store them or am I just unlucky and they keep getting deleted?

I've noticed that pre-cooked food like patties disappears when stored in the fridge overnight; only the tray remains. However, I haven't observed this issue with uncooked food stored in the fridge. Regarding cups and other items, I haven't been paying close attention, but I'll start to keep an eye on them to see if they disappear too.

Yeah, I know cooked can't be kept but I've lost trays of uncooked patties (stored in fridge) as well as the contents of the ingredients trays (pickles, lettuce) at random. Sometimes it's fine but other times it's all gone, lol! Experimenting with different fridges & the cold storage though. Love this game but am losing bank with supplies, wish I could do big restocks without risk lol!

I always just throw my uncooked patties in the freezer and i've never had an issue with them disappearing that ive seen. Lettuce and stuff like that i refrigerate and condiments as well.

never had an issue with putting prepped items (produce) in the stand up coolers, however this morning everything was empty. that sucks.

if the door is left open they'll disappear too

Just happened to me again, lost my open condiments lol. Maybe like Tiger Shark says I left a door open... but I doubt it T_T
