AI art should never be allowed to be sold as the cover of your game, it takes 10min to find an affordable artist. Literally 50 bucks to commission a human with passion and talent. Its cringe and stands against not just artist but gaming too. Some will reply who cares, or whatever its a low effort game, its a slippery slope.

I couldn't agree more, seeing AI art as your damn thumbnail is a huge turn off. How am i supposed to expect any form of quality in your product if you couldn't even be assed to hire a proper artist for your work.

I too don't like the use of ai art.

I hope that now the game has sold a pretty good amount they will retroactively hire an artist to make a new game banner and the like.

the COD fanbase would like a word with you then "its the smartest business move." no its not, its better as a temporary if you're really desperate for something and cant afford an artist. id imagine the devs will update the thumbnails to be by a paid artist after some time.

AI itself has been proven to make the worst of products as a team dedicated a game to being made soly by AI and it flopped hard, i dont even think it made it to a playtest phase before it was scrapped for being buggy.

but hey by all means if you think AI is the way to go then you go ahead and make a product for sale using AI for its entire make up and see how far you get with that

Anyone who is talking about selling 50 dollar art is working on Fiver. they don't have a publisher who would work with them anyways. The assets in the game is clearly shovelware too, it's just trash and uncanny.

Ai generated crap can't be copyrighted because it doesn't have a human author, it's just a '' thing '' at best it's an '' image '' but it's not art.
Art is something we attribute to humanity and human expression not derivative algorithms built on billions of stolen *human* work.

No one who cares about actual creatives and claim to care about art ( which means all media like books, movies, tv shows, games, music etc ) should be supporting it.
If you support it you're spitting in the face of everyone who created everything you consume and claim to love.
