Steam Deck issues
Game runs but the picture is off…looks like HDR is turned on but no way to turn it off. Help please

it looks like if you boot up the game from desktop mode it looks just fine

In case you’re wondering what I did to fix it.
Set launch options: DXVK_HDR=0 %command%

Easiest way would be to get prontontricks and run the .exe files through that. Assuming you’ve already downloaded the patch…

Step one: switch to desktop mode and download protontricks.

Step two: download the game and run it but don’t actually play it, just need to do this so protontricks registers it as install (I’m not good with the terminology but I think you know what I mean).

Step three: right click the patch and run it through protontricks, an installer will pop up, just locate the game you want to patch and continue all the way without changing anything, protontricks will do the rest. When finished click done and that’s pretty much it.

A few caveats with this, I’ve only ever done it while having the game installed on my sd card but I’m sure it works the same regardless. If you install the game but don’t run it, protontricks won’t have it listed so make sure you run it first.

Any issues let me know and I’ll give you more detail as I’m just typing this from the top of my head. Lastly, works with any game that has a .exe patch file, some games just need files copied into the game files but I’m sure you knew that 😅👍🏾

Yeah of coursec you can but the game crashes on launch, I get "windows cannot find DXVK_HDR=0" and then the game closes
