im only in silver and I'm against decks stacked with epics and legendaries
It's not impossible. I feel like it's 50\50 now - and yep, this is a horrible result for people who playing with ~80-90% winrate before.
I didn't see any problems with Vetruvians (many players have been waiting for their takeoff) - there is global problem with Shim'Zar cards. Too many cards are broken or just OP (sometimes both).
But also I see another problem. Now this game became surly for a new players because with two different kinds of orbs it's much harder to get key cards at the start and full collection at all.
This game is forces to grind quests every day and now it will taking too much time for the new ones and they quickly get bored. It's still easier then in a Hearthstone, but no one ever said what HS develops in the right direction. And of course Duelyst shouldn't repeat their mistakes. I feel disappointed. It's a bad start for new expansion... or I'm too conservative.
with the new cards i think they buffed abyssian. they used to be like 1 trick pony now they have monsters that grow to insane level if enough creep is present. hero can get way over 10 attack if creep is present, the 8 mana spell does creep times damage to all enemyes (minions and heroes on all map) and farming 10 creep is easy becose there is a card that when dies puts 6 creep on the map, many other new cards as well, one could argue that its only a one time spell but if you can just do 10+ damage to the opponent monsters and hero out of nowhere it just ends games, easy 2 shadow novas worth of damage before patch for cost of 8 and you can't miss.
the only difference is all those cards are legendaries and without them abyssians aren't even half as strong.
funny thing i just beat some vetruvien (zirix) who summoned 2 nimbuses, with some random songhai deck i put on a while ago just for quests(i'm relatively new, hardly have enough good cards for 1 race and its not songhai). it hardly even has rares in it. i know his deck wasn't optimal and all and i agree that nimbus might be a little too strong for its cost but in the end of the day you can play around it with any dispell that you have from the beginning of the game or just ignore it as much as possible and try to finish the opponent before it snowballs too much...
abyssians having multiple combos of multiple very strong cards feel much harder to counter than just couple of randomly strong minions that have low synergy with the rest of the deck, in my opinion.
