Does anyone know how to complete Fujiko's Story?

I had an event where I call her to show the tech room behind the lake, then I went there and last event happened.

Strange, I also had the event to call her to the tech room but it gave me the Slave ending

You should also have had a quest to take the research chick (or the native one) to the ruins to find an item to make something that would prevent that.

this taken and translated from a jp post. but the gist is the following :
1) work till the event where you observe Fujiko with the device, protag will say something like "I need more energy " or watever
2) Go on adventures with Nadi into the ancient village about 3(?) days
3) When you get the ginseng looking root medicine thing, give it to Evelyn she should be able to analyse it and you'll get to craft a new item
4) Talk to Fujiko only after you've crafted said item

Not sure if there's any other nuances needed to be done but I got it that way
EDIT : Step 2 can be done a lot earlier, as long as Nadi's quest creates the chance to get the gold colour medicine ginseng thing
