show truth
on the maual it says theres a show truth option but there isnt one ingame, does anyone know WTF is going on with this?

coz unlike dangerous waters, you can't just go in game and to the menu/options, instead you have to do this, which i find a bit strange and annoying

basically shows evryone and everything and its exact location, hence the name show truth, its a bit like God's view.

In otherwords it entirely removes the most critical part of modern naval warfare. Hunting each others fleets is central to gameplay

yep, i hardly use it anyway, because identifying enemies in fleet command is much easier than in games like dangerous waters.

Go to your Steam game library right click on the Fleet Command, then do the same on properties. Next right click Set Launch Options... Then type this -truthoption click ok and then you should have the show truth option in the game options.

i tried it, it doesnt work, am i doing something wrong?
i exactly typed truthoption, that's it, just those 2 words without space.

type -truthoption with the "-" in front exactly like he typed earlier. :) Works for me.

An almost 10 year bump as I've just got back into this game - I just tried doing exactly what S.A.Y.D.L posted (adding -truthoption to launch options) and it works fine for me with Show Truth now showing up at the top of the Options - Game - page.

EDIT - It needs to be re-enabled EVERY TIME YOU START THE GAME!!!! So check your Options - game - page at every start.

actually when in you're in a mission just right click anywhere on the map and under a option (cant remember if it said cheats or just view options) you could toggle on/off via applying/removing a check mark on a option that just simply said truth/true which was the show true locations of all assets in the current mission.

you just cant have any unit currently selected to give orders to when you right click anywhere on the map to bring up the selection screen
