Looking for help. Tried to search the posts, but didn't find anything. Game menu pops up, but the play button is grayed out and will not let me select it. Any suggestions.

Is fleet Command install on the C: Drive within the steamapps folder or have you install on a difference drive? Verify integrity of the game files, because some files may be missing.

Check that you're anti-virus program isn't blocking the Fleet Command.exe or Steamrun.exe this can happen, had it myself years ago.

You can also try using compatibility mode, also Disable full-screen optimisations, on the Fleet Command.exe.

You may need to add the Steam.dll file too the Fleet Command folder, then run the game from the Fleet Command.exe file.

You may need to un-install the game, and also delete the Fleet Command folder, because Steam doesn't remove it. Then re-download the game and this may fix the issue.

If you are using the CD-ROM version, especially of the Jane's versions, the CD-ROM might need to be in the drive. This should not apply to the Steam version, or a fully patched SCS version.
