Screen resolutions
Hi
I have Windows 10, when I start Fleet Command, on list in graphic options are only three screen resolution: 640x480, 800x600 and 1024x768, program see only D3D main driver. Is any way to enlarge resolutions ?

This is a problem that can happen with FC and the main cause can be to do with your PC setup. (FYI I've been playing FC for around 10 years on steam and a lot longer CD-ROM and also I've played the game on many different desktops and laptops which I currently own.)

May I ask is your computer Laptop or Desktop?
May I ask are you using a HDMI Port or Display Port or the older VGA Port?
May I ask what Gpu you have install on your computer?
May I ask what screen aspect ratio your using?

1:

One simple fix is to un-install the game and delete the Fleet Command folder also make sure there's no other files to do with game that Window 10 hides way. If your not sure what I'm on about let me know.

Next set your screen resolution to 1600x1200, and re-start your computer.
Next re-download the game and if your luckly you might get the missing resolutions.

2:

Not having the right driver for your GPU & game may also cause this issue, and sadly the only way to find the right one is trial and error. Windows 10 auto drivers sometime work ok but not always.

3:

Using the older VGA or DVI ports sometime helps, then other times the HDMI or DP ports better same its trial and error.

4:

You can also get this issue too if your not running the right DirectX or your missing some files.

5:

Windows 8.0\8.1\10 screen scaling can cause the screen resolution not to be there, or this setting can also messup the in games screen.

6:

All new coming to this game, it came out in 1999 so the Fleet Command is around 17+ years old now, so its going to have issues with newer OS's and PC's.

I've been playing FC for around 10 years on three Steam accounts and a lot longer on CD-ROM. I've also played the game on many different desktops and laptops which I currently own, and this issue popup now and again on the same computers that it didn't before! Fleet Command is a funny old game and it can be a pain in the *** at times, but its still a great game when you get it working right.

thank for your advice. i have tried run it on my old pc, it has win7 ultimate 64bit (6.1 build 7601), 4gb ram, directx 11. and it run very well, but there's one more thing that bother me, it's fps issue, my fps seem only from 10-15 fps, but when i pressed f3 (full 3d screen) the fps jump from 10 to over 60 fps. but when i turn off full 3d screen. my fps drop again. do you know how to fix this. thank you very much, and i am very sorry about my bad english.

No problem anytime, yes there's an old simple fix for this issue press Ctrl v. Fleet Command is a pain on Window 7 sometimes just depeneds on your computer setup, sound like you've got an GPU that the game doesn't like. There's also the Glide Wrappers too they will make the game run a lot smoother.

nGlide is probably the best and safests too use.

RAM: 8GB
GPU: GeForce GTX 750 Ti 2GB

I install nGlide 2.10 from: http://www.zeus-software.com/downloads/nglide
nGlide Configurator:
  1. Video Backend: DirectX
  2. Screen Resolution: 1360x768
  3. Aspect Ratio: Entire screen (Default)
  4. Refresh Rate: By Desktop
  5. Vertical Synchronization: On (default)
  6. Gamma Correction: 1.0 (Default)
  7. 3DFX Logo Splash Screen: On (Default)

I run Fleet Commander and at Oprions/Graphics/Screen Resolution has only:
Default
D3D Primary Display Driver (640x480, 800x600, 1024x768, 1280x1024)
My max resolution in my pc monitor is 1360x768.
How can i play in this resolution?
