I'm using both, did you read this below
"the videos clearly show that when using brumal form no atb was spent however on PC steam version brumal form spends 30% of 1 ATB bar and that is a lot. You can do only 3 brumal forms"
I didn't use any of the cheese strategies when I beat it on PS5, not a brag, just tryin to say, it is possible so keep at it.
The most important thing to beat Sephiroth is to get good at timing perfect blocks, that way you don't get your team locked down then Octoslashed.
I do have a private youtube video of that win if you wanna use it for possible pointers.
Was a standard melee setup using Cloud, Barret, and Yuffie.
Using Barret as an old fashioned rpg tank job helps a lot.
I tried everything, manawall and the crap, blocking hardly works as supposed to be, coming from me "parrying master" of dark souls games, manawall does not last long and yet they made that sephiroth targets them at the time you set the command, 90% of the times I tried manawall or any healing/raise command, sephiroth targets them even though you are not controlling any, if the characters are not doing anything then he goes to you, and the moment he goes to you, if in that moment you set a command for an ally heal or do anything important then he goes to them and chains them. Any healing, raise or anything important, will only work if sephiroth is down, hit by a firaga or the sort. This reminds me of the toughest boss in dark souls 3, "Sister Friede", she will attack if she sees you are healing. That was also bul.ls.hit boss but that is optional for achievements. Anyway, I'm done with this game, I completed all minigames, got 87 of all johnny curious, only this one was left. They should have made the toughest challenges not related to achievements in any way. There are limits to how much bu.llsh.it somebody can handle.
I found my timing for i-frames playing monster hunter games all these years translated well to timing perfect blocks in Rebirth thankfully, I've also been an avid rhythm game player for many years also, so I am sort of pre-conditioned for this sort of thing.
Been a year since I did that fight, but if I remember correctly you can work out who he is going to try and bind because he will look/aim towards them while he's charging it up.
Just manually change to that character before he does if you don't want to rely on AI maybe timing a perfect block.
Try and keep your 3 characters well seperated, or you may struggle to see who he is aiming for.
If he is due to use his bind move, just back away and wait for it.
In the end i gave up and just Cheat Engined the fight got my achievement and moved on, i fing hate wasting time on unfair bullshiet in games, the last one i endured was 4h on Malenia.
At that point, just use SAM, why bother with cheat engine? Unlock all achievement at minute 1.
They used cheats but you think they did not, that is the problem about believing everything you see in the internet. You trolls should be very careful about what you believe in the internet.

That last piano song "Two Legs? Nothin’ To It" was also bulls.hit, hundreds of tries to get an A for the curious.
