Question about Cait Sith (LATE GAME SPOILERS)

I dont really remember the original all too well, but is it the same in the OG? Where he betrays the gang and ♥♥♥♥♥ off forever? I'm in the Ancient Temple and he hasnt reappeared (yet?)

They're similar but not identical. His motivations for betraying and helping the gang are different, although I think what he does in Rebirth makes way more sense.

In the original, he never leaves the party, instead he blackmails you with having kidnapped Marlene, insisting you go along like nothing happened.

It’s still dumb that Cid and Vincent didn’t join you, there was plenty of game for them to participate in.

I think because there would just be so so many party members.

But then again, in the OG, werent they all a part of it? Including Cid if memory serves me right? Didnt cid fight with a giant harpoon?

he is a turk kidnapping people is part of the job he'll do whatever it takes to get the job done even if it means kidnapping children just another day in the life of a shinra corpo rat, he does change though and decides to fight for the planet instead of for shinra, not sure if that happens in this game iam still at costa del sol

in the original cid was a mandatory character he was a dragoon so he uses a harpoon you unlocked him when arriving at rocket town right after leaving the nibelheim reactor area

vincent was a secret character that you had to unlock similar to yuffie though yuffie was much easier to get, i dont know why they dont join the party in rebirth just like i dont know why they didnt let red join the party in remake

Slight correction, he's not a Turk, he's Director of Urban Planning, an executive.

its been many a years since i played the original FF7 i remember reeves being a turk, maybe iam thinking of someone else. this is what happens when you get old

Cait Sith does interact with the Turks, and Reeve himself is only in a few scenes.

In the OG, the first real mention of him is at the Honey Bee Inn where his parents have been provided a room and Cait Sith as a body guard. They live in Sector 7 and it's implied they are being kept here for their safety ahead of the plate drop.

The next scene he's in is when he's giving a damage assessment to President Shinra who tells him they're not rebuilding.

I don't think Reeve is seen again until the end of the game until after Rufus is taken out by Diamond Weapon. Reeve tries to order Scarlet and Heimer to stay out of Avalanche's way while they deal with Hojo, but they won't listen to him.

Cait Sith does break character a few times where it's clearly Reeve talking. Notably when he gets angry at Barret for holding his Shinra employment against him.

mhm i do not remember that scene at all, the only thing i can remember about the honeybee inn from the original is the famous scene with cloud and the muscle dudes, the scene with creepy palmer and the weird room where someone was doing black magic or some ♥♥♥♥
