Does the Steam Discount Last Until February 5?

I saw in the game trailer; the sale would last until February 5. On Steam, it says the discount ends on January 23. On Epic Store, the discount is listed as ending on February 5. Can someone please clarify if the Steam discount would be extended to February 5, mentioned in the trailer? I prefer not to preorder.
Edit: Changed the date to February 5, I had written February 2 by mistake before.

The discount will end on the 23 on steam. You will not see a discount until like summer or winter. As for epic the game sale may end on feb 2 but epic maybe taking hit to their bottom line to do that to try steal sales from steam. In this case it be wise to preorder the game unless you want to wait like 6 months for maybe a sale during summer.

The sale is only offered to those that preorder. The sale ends the second the game launches.

It's supposed to go to February 5 so I have no idea what these people are talking about. It clearly says this in the PC Features Trailer they just uploaded. It will probably change to a 10 day "Launch Discount" after release since Steam supports that. I wouldn't pre-order before we know how good the port is.

Rebirth will be discounted until February 5. Preordering ends on January 23 at 13:59 UTC. You have to order before then to receive the preorder boni.

I'm planning to pre-order on the release day. I'll just hold up from playing until I find out the optimization for 3070. I'll have a 14-day refund window by then.

Last I checked, Steam doesn't call pre-ordering a game a special promotion. Tends to be the wording of getting the game at a lower price, and yeah that makes sense that it would likely end on release day.
I'm not sure where you guys are getting February anything from, the store page says nothing other than Jan 23rd.

On steams page it says January 23rd while the Epic games store version states February 5th. I guess it depends on where you pre order from.

You didn't read my comment, that isn't directly on the main store page, like I said, I had to hunt for that which I found later on. I'm still of the belief that that's not the same thing, but if I'm wrong I don't lose anything since I already bought it so it literally doesn't matter for me. If I'm wrong it works in others favor, If I'm right then it doesn't. Either way it no longer impacts me.
