From others have been telling me, Square Enix doesn't do preloads.

Usually when there is no denuvo present they don't do preload.

I don't care if their is preload but there better be precompilation of shaders on first boot. If not I hope they enjoy my day 1 negative (stutter free) review of Stutter Engine 4: Rebirth 2025 edition.

well atleast my data cap doesnt restart until the 25th, if i had to download it day one of my data plan that would suck

If this is anything to go by... Square allowed a preload for the launch of the game on PS5 2 days before release. By that logic it may be available tomorrow.

They definitely did preloads for Remake Intergrade and Rebirth on PS5, so it would be nice to be able to on Steam.

Seems unlikely though, I don't recall being able to preload Remake Intergrade when that came to Steam.

The logic doesn't work because you're talking about Ps5 vs Steam. Square are notoriously stingy when it comes to Steam.

Late Thursday. Remember that the actual official release date is the 24th. Don't stay up Wednesday night expecting to play at midnight. Stay up late Thursday night instead. ;)
