I've always gamed on PC, and my son is the only one who touches the PS5. He isn't interested in Final Fantasy so this will be my first time playing it. I'm looking forward to it.
The problem is that these Final Fantasy games don't support 21:9 ratios which is unfortunate and very stupid IMO because it's a standard feature that takes just a couple of hours to implement, literally not more than that.
FF7 Remake has no native 21:9 support, same goes for FF16, FF15 and so on. None of them have 21:9 native support. There is that. Which leads me to believe that Rebirth won't have it either.
That's with the flawless widescreen fix mod, which is a seperate software which I also tried myself and it runs okaish. Still there is no NATIVE 21:9 support like in other new games from Sony for example like Spider-man, God Of War, Ghost of Tshushima and others.
Which still means you can play it in 21:9 regardless on pc.
It's like you saying modding the game to make Tifa and Aerith have bigger tits and full nude isn't supported natively but it exist and is working regardless.
All those Sony games can be played on PC 21:9 regardless of native support or not and regardless the game being new or old.
That's not NATIVE support, that's all I'm saying. The devs should natively support UW resolutions in FF games which would work much better than a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ mod we have to use that is never gonna fully work as good as when the devs support it.
I wish that every studio out there were as good as Nixxes that ports the Sony titles, those guys are the pinnacle of PC gaming features.
