DualSense features worth it?
I haven't used a DualSense, but I have seen discussions and know people seem to really like the adaptive triggers on them. I remember hearing they were cool to use in Spider-Man 2 (something about making web slinging more fun/immersive).

Is there anything like that in Rebirth? I have an 8bitdo controller already, but I would buy a DualSense if people really liked how the features were implemented in Rebirth.

Also, how is the DualSense in general as a PC controller? I have mostly used Xbox style controllers because of how easy it is to pair.

The adaptive triggers are barely used in Rebirth. They are used in some mini-games and cutscenes but that is about it. In that sense, it would not be worth buying a DualSense controller solely for Rebirth.

Very good and it works perfectly with Steam.

I also think that the DualSense is the best controller ever made, because it is very ergonomic and feels really good to hold. Much more so than the DualShock 4. That is obviously just my personal experience.

It varies from game to game. It's up to the developer to implement it well... or poorly. It's amazing in some games.. not so much in others.

like dlux said, i wouldnt go out of my way to get a dual sense just for rebirth in fact only one minigame comes to mind when i think of the adaptive triggers, but its a good controller in general

It's not worth it for Rebirth, but some games do implement DualSense features really well like the Horizon games, Cyberpunk, Ghost of Tsushima, The Last of Us, but you'd have to search the list since it grows a bit. I honestly don't use it as much and only if the features are worth it. I still prefer to use my Xbox controller for other games.
It's been almost a year since I played it but I do remember needing to turn it back on for this game. I just cannot remember, amd there was so many minigames, it could have been any one of them.

Personally, I'm not a fan so it sticks out when I do, but if you are a completionist you might want to consider it.

as for the Dualsense for a PC gamepad, it's good, but I will say the inboard speaker is a pain. I wish I could permanently turn it off because so many times does a game try to default to that speaker because you plug in the controller and it treats it like a new audio device like a headset.

Dualsense features are superfluous stuff which only helps to drain the battery fast. That's it. Dualsense's battery without it is fine.

The controller is also fine, ergonomically I prefer asymmetrical sticks like the Xbox controller and most 8bitdo controllers apart from the pro 2 and I also prefer to hold the Dualshock 4. My hands are small, the Dualsense is too wide and kinda weird.

Bluetooth connection is very fast and stable using a dongle. It doesn't interfere with bluetooth headsets/earbuds like the Xbox Controller.
Steam input lets you do everything you want with the touchpad and that is awesome.

I would rate my 5 controllers like this.

1- Dualshock 4 - I said I prefer asymmetrical sticks, this just goes to show how I love this comfy controller
2- 8bitdo ultimate wireless
3- Dualsense
4- 8bitdo pro 2
5- Xbox (it doesn't let me use my bluetooth buds)

I think the dual sense features itself are great but they're barely used in games. They're definitely not worth it for rebirth- if games used them like they're used in astro bot then yes it would be great. Also, the ps5 controllers tend to be affected by drift more.

It's been a while since I used the PS controller in the PC, I just use xbox controllers since they're universally compatible with games. I can recommend the razer wolverine pro v3, love the sticks on it.
